Earlier today Microsoft confirmed that Outlook was having issues on iOS since users were not able to access their email after being locked out. The company has since released a fix and states that the “services are slowly recovering“.
However, as it turns out, users are still complaining that they continue to remain locked out of their email accounts. To be fair to Microsoft, these can be two separate issues at play here, as many have been complaining of a similar lock-out issue for the last month or so. These people say that they have not been able to get into their own email accounts, as the Outlook client keeps showing the “You’ve tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect account or password” error.
The issue was first brought up by frustrated Reddit user Small-Strawberry-646 who wrote: “I have been getting this message for about a month now, Is this microsofts way of getting you to stop using their old service, and switch to their paid service? … Has anyone got a solution, besides having to get a code from another outlook account.” Others echoed on the thread highlighting that they were facing similar problems.
